FILM
ALTERNATE NORMAL(S)
The film opens from a human perspective, showing the repetitive action of pulling weeds. An insect clings onto the hand, and the moment the human tries to brush it away becomes a threshold into another world. The camera gradually transitions into the insect’s point of view, revealing a more intimate relationship with soil, grass, and plant structures. Through this shift in scale, the ritual of weeding is reinterpreted as a disruptive force that shapes the entire micro-ecology. By following the insect’s journey, we explored how small organisms navigate spaces shaped by agricultural practices and how their movements could express subtle resistance or adaptation.
